If you’re looking for a way to cut down on spending at the grocery store, shopping at a place with a senior citizen’s discount could be one way to do it!
While many major retailers like Kroger and Walmart have discontinued senior discount days, there are still several grocery stores that offer savings for seniors. In this article, we’ll take a closer look at 10 popular grocery store chains that have discounts for older shoppers.
I reached out to each store in order to verify the details of their senior citizen discount, but note that discounts and promotions may vary by location.
Grocery Stores With Senior Discounts
Most grocery stores that offer senior discounts choose one day of the week (or one day of the month) to offer a certain percentage off for shoppers over a specific age. Most of the discount days take place on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, but you can find at least one senior discount available somewhere every Monday through Thursday.
Be sure to check with your nearest grocery store(s) for more information on senior discounts, eligible or excluded products and any required memberships or identification.
